MonAvenir Conseil Scolaire Catholique

Who we are

As its name indicates, the Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir has the students as the very reason for its existence. It strives to have them reach their highest aspirations. An education at the highest level, the Catholic faith and a Francophone living environment form the basis from which every child can soar to become a citizen of the world, fulfilled and sure of his or her capacity to live according to a lofty ideal. Faithful to its reputation as a leader, the CSC MonAvenir is characterized by its avant-garde educational approach which is constantly being renewed and adapted to today’s world. It offers students quality learning spaces and opportunities, allowing them to develop the skills required for the 21st Century. At the CSC MonAvenir, the individuality of each person is welcome, efforts are applauded and success is celebrated.

Integral to the name, the logo consists of the silhouette of a young person taking off, carried away and guided by a star made up of various symbols. The large star represents the calling of each student to reach his full potential. The other symbols represent the students, the parents, the teaching staff and the community who, together form the large star guiding students in achieving their dreams.

This year, the Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir welcomes close to 17,000 students, in its 62 schools: 47 elementary schools, 11 secondary schools, one middle school, two combined elementary and secondary schools and one virtual school, established on a territory covering over 40,000 km2, extending from the Niagara Peninsula to Peterborough and from Lake Ontario (Toronto) to Georgian Bay. Our vast network of French Catholic schools allows every student to become a member of a broad Francophone school community based on faith and to receive a top quality education in a learning environment that is rich, fair and inclusive.
